1. INSTALLATION:
Extract all the files to a folder of your choice, thats it!
You should have 4 files extracted:
 TCE08.exe
 vivutils.dll
 aidata.xml
 TCE08_ReadMe.txt

**If you get any error message about a missing OCX or DLL file, please
download the 'TCE_support_package.zip' file and follow the included
instructions to install the missing files.

2. USING TCE08
Upon starting TCE08.exe, the tool should find your NHL08 installation
and rompt you to use this installation path to modify the AI data.
If for any reasons TCE08 cannot find your NHL08 installation, use the
'Browse' button to navigaste to the location of you aidata.viv file, select
it and click OK.
You may also answer 'No' when prompted to use the AI data file from the
default NHL08 installation if you prefer to modify an aidata.viv file in
a different location.

3. SELECTING A SKILL LEVEL
The next step to get you going is to select the skill level you wish to modify.
All the changes you will apply will be effective for the selected skill level ONLY.
Note that Beginner level is not part of the list because it's file structure
is a little different from the Easy, Medium and Difficult level and hardly nobody
uses that skill level.
Once you selected a skill level from the list, the attributes tree main branches
(AI, PCAI, PENALTY) should expand
You MUST open a valid aidata.viv file before you can select a skill level.

4. SELECTING & MODIFYING ATTRIBUTES
To browse through the different attributes, clickon the (+) signs to expand each
branches until you reach an attribute (any label that does not have a (+) or (-)
icon next to it is an attribute), click on the attribute's name to select it.
After selecting an attribute, it's name will appear on the right side of the tool
as well as it's minimum value, maximum value, description, default (retail) value and
it's current value (corresponding to the slider position).
Use the slider to modify an attribute's value. If you prefer, you may use your
keyboard's arrow keys or wheel mouse to set a value, just make sure the slider control
has the focus by clicking on it once.
You must have a valid aidata.viv file loaded and a skill level selected before you can
browse through the attributes.

5. EXPAND ALL
The 'Expand All' button, located at the bottom of the attribute's tree will expand all
branches in one step.
You must have a valid aidata.viv file loaded and a skill level selected to use this functionality.

6. COLLAPSE ALL
The 'Collapse All' button, located at the bottom of the attribute's tree will collapse all
branches in one step.
You must have a valid aidata.viv file loaded and a skill level selected to use this functionality.

7. RESET TO DEFAULT
The 'Reset to default' button will set the default (retail) value of the selected attribute.

8. APPLYING CHANGES
Once you're satisfied with your AI values, click the 'Apply changes' button to save
the values to the aidata.viv file. Make sure NHL08 is not running when you apply
changes to the aidata.viv file or your change will not take effect (until you restart
NHL08).
The applying changes fucntionality only works if you have made at least one change to the
currently selected skill level.
Before applying any changes to the selected aidata.viv file, TCE08 will make a backup of
the file with a '.TCE_backup_mmddhhmm' extension (where mmddhhmm are the month/day/hour/minute
at which the backup was made, for example: aidata.viv.TCE_backup_10102315).

9. CANCEL CHANGES
If you wish to cancel all the changes done since you last saved during the same session,
press the 'Cancel changes' button. This will revert your values back to what they were
when you opened the aidata.viv file (as long as you didn't applied any changes).
The cancel changes fucntionality only works if you have made at least one change to the
currently selected skill level and the changes have not been applied (saved).

10. EXPORT SETTINGS
Use the 'Export settings' button to export the currently loaded skill level's settings
to a file you can share with others. Once settings are exported, you may send them to
other people that will be able to use the 'Import settings' option to load them to their
aidata.viv file.
You must have a valid aidata.viv file loaded and a skill level selected before you can export
your settings.

11. IMPORT SETTINGS
Use the 'Import settings' button to import a TCExp file. Don't forget to apply the changes
after you import a TCExp file or the changes will not take effect in NHL08.

12. ABOUT ATTRIBUTES DESCRIPTION
One of TCE's biggest challenge is to determine exactly what does what. Some attributes are pretty
obvious to describe, others are completly unknown. Most attributes does not have a description
in this release and those that do may or may not be accurate. I'm looking for everyone's collaboration
to help fiond exactly what does what. If you think you've identified the purpose of an attribute
that is missing a description, or if you feel an attribute that already has a description should
be updated, please let me know. Best way to do this is to post in the 'Official TCE08 support thread'
on the NHLDepot.com
